What do you like most about orienteering?

66Nov 16, 2009 9:34 PMThe excitement of finding my way through the terrain and all the challenges involved. So many things can vary this experience that it is almost always fresh... the map, the course setting, the format of the course, the weather, the competition.

69Nov 17, 2009 5:16 AMIt's outdoors, you have to use the brain, it's social, you can compete in a healthy way, it's for (almost) any age and gender (including groups and families), doesn't require expensive gear, etc...

101Dec 13, 2009 4:01 AMI like the sense of adventure I get from exploring terrain, and I enjoy the exhilaration of running through terrain. The problem solving and competition are fun, too, but they're secondary to the aesthetic aspects.
