The Courses
Our COOL juniors dominated the White and Yellow courses, and they also represented well on Orange, Green/Brown, and Blue/Red. Tapio Karras set interesting courses for all. Staying in contact with the map was challenging when going cross country amidst the many flavors of vegetation. True middle courses requiring sustained mental focus. Many of our maps are not as feature rich, and Tapio took advantage of McLaren's variety to give us an experience of orienteering outside the Bay Area.
The Weather
The tradition of event weather reports continues. Definitely, 98th percentile weather for an event. What a day! This was, of course, planned.
The COOL Junior League Ceremony
