Purchase an Orienteering Map
BAOC has mapped numerous parks in the Bay Area, and most of these orienteering maps are available for purchase. Notes about prices, formats, and ordering instructions are below.

Format and Price Notes
All BAOC maps are 5-color images, most drawn to IOF specs. Older maps are offset printed (as noted above); newer ones are rendered on the computer with OCAD software.
Offset: Because they are printed in quantity on a traditional printing press, these maps are used for several years, and accuracy will suffer over time (e.g., due to vegetation and trail changes, etc.).
OCAD: These computer-based maps are printed on request on a 1440x1440 dpi inkjet printer. Some of these maps don't fit on a 17x22 sheet, so they are printed on two sheets, as listed. The cost for each page of an OCAD inkjet-printed map:
- $2.00 for 8.5" x 11"
- $2.50 for 8.5" x 14"
- $3.00 for 11" x 17"
- $3.50 for 13" x 19"
- $4.50 for 17" x 22"
Smaller sections of any OCAD map can be printed. OCAD maps can also be printed at any scale, though some parts of some of maps would not be very readable at 1:15000. Any scale really means any scale. Maximum sheet size is 17" x 60".
